CADE cheered up by Global Competition Review
After many years being more criticised than praised, the decision-making body of the Brazilian Antitrust Authorities (CADE) is living its best moment in 2010. According to the British magazine Global Competition Review (GDR), the CADE is among the main competition agencies in the world together with the Canadian and American ones. Furthermore, the GDR also mentioned the industrial gases cartel case, decided earlier in 2010, as one of the most important in the 2010 antitrust scenario.
This blogger expects the same may continue in 2011, when probably the New Antitrust Law will be passed and several New Commisioners will be replaced.
