Ecuador: The designation process for Competition Authority in charge of Antitrust matters has finished. Today, Tuesday July 31st, the Council of People Participation and Social Control chose Pedro Francisco Páez Pérez as Superintendent. According to article 210 of the Republic’s Constitution, the Council should inform the National Assembly in order to proceed to give possession to the new Superintendent, which will take place the following days.
